1320173 2012-12-25 21:56:00 I see the big chain stores - because they are shut today - are starting their boxing day sales today, online.
OK?

1320174 2012-12-25 21:58:00 A heard a guy on the radio who said he bought a laptop today (Boxing day) for $400 that was $800 before Xmas.

That seems a really big discount. (too good to be true)

No, I've seen a couple like that. Got a Harvey Norman advert today, had a laptop that was $348 save $390.

I think the problem was, Some people got confused, when you went yesterday it would be a wasted trip because all the shops were shut, then when you looked at the shop how can you tell if it is a big chainstores when it might be normal size shop one off store (totally owned by a nearby family), that dont sell chainstores, because they dont put a message up saying "sorry we dont sell chainstores" which by the way was a spelling mistake it should of been chainsaws, I did not realize this until other people got confused and I had to read between the lines to decode the posting.

1320177 2012-12-25 23:31:00 Maybe we should call it Mugs Day, not Boxing Day.

Yes.
Pays to pay attention to what things cost normally.
And, as Briscoes do have certain things actually cheap today, pay attention to if it's any good as well.
Cheap and crap doesn't get you anywhere.

1320178 2012-12-25 23:48:00 Here's some more advertising bollocks:

Just got a lamb roast out of the freezer. Didn't notice before but on it's overkill plastic wrapping it's stamped "Free-Range NZ Lamb".

As opposed to what? The ones we grow in cages here?
