2012-12-25 07:53:00 | I know most of the big chain stores are shut today because it is Christmas day today, when most shops are shut, so logically since Internet still works you could go to their web site and maybe get to see a preview of their Boxing day specials, thats what I thought when I read "I see the big chain stores because they are shut today are starting there boxing day sales today online." Trev just filled in the missing piece and mentioned the boxing day specials you can see at the web site, is my brain wired up logical or something, or maybe I just hated English at school. and did better at the science subjects. | Frank_sumbody (16923) | |
2012-12-25 18:57:00 | I had a look at the sales. Before Xmas one of the Navman GPS was going for $129. Now, on sale, it is going for $129.

2012-12-25 19:49:00 | Maybe we should call it Mugs Day, not Boxing Day. If people go charging into town, intent on spending up large, simply because they've been led to assume there are big discounts all around today, then they may well be happy to shell out on all manner of stuff, happy in the assumption that it's been discounted, when in fact it's the same price as always. Where I work there are some discounts organised, but there's also a big red sign saying "[Brand XYZ] from $159". So the mugs will charge in, thinking the [XYZ] range has been slashed down in price. Brand [XYZ] has been "from $159" well prior to Boxing day. The only thing that has changed is the shoppers preconceptions and assumptions. Savy retailers won't start their true post xmas discount sales until the buying frenzy has begun to ebb. :devil

Oh yeah. :) So how come when we stopped buying electric toilet bushes and a major retailer cancel their order we were unable to purchase these at a bargain price. |

2012-12-25 21:07:00 | I notice a lot of so called stores that have online as well as retail shops are shutting out us people who do not live near their retail shops as their sales are "in store" only. PB TECH is a classic example.:yuck: We support them all year and then they shut us out of their sale of the year. I will be more careful from whom I order from online this coming year.:mad:
