| 1344586 | 2013-06-03 21:33:00 | Reinstalling windows usually only effects the C: drive and any installed programs. It will not normally delete anything on any other drives unless you tell it to. If you have more than one physical hard drive they will be fine, if it's partitions on the same drive just be careful not to delete or change any partitions. What sort of documents are we talking about?, data files such as office documents and things like movies, music, pictures etc, will be ok as long as they are not stored in the "my documents" folders on the C: drive. Programs may need to be reinstalled even if they are on different drives because windows often needs registry entries etc for an installed program to work (there are some that don't need installing). |
