help!

i have an ibm aptiva
133mhz
16mb shared edo
1.2gb
28.8k modem
mwave sound
some sort of TEAC cdrom ,slow like 8x
i dont have the serial,as im at the wrong house..but i can get it.

its gone fine for years, probably 1995,and ive recovered it several times<perhaps 16times:P>
.
The problem is,last time win95 was about 500mb in size,so i decided to recover it ,again, and it said the same 'cannot read cdrom'while opening those cab files, it wasnt in the windows DIR ,so i didnt worry, just aborted that bit.<as usual>

but anyway..i got to the registration for win95part,and ive lost my cdserial.

so i got win95 from a mate, formatted c:,did scandisk.,it froze on the last 99% where there was about 4blocks of bad sectors (162,000bytes)

i didnt worry,as its not critical  is it?

So i carried on,chucked win95 on,it goes VERY FAST :-D YAY its faster than my 1.6ghz with xp >sp1 :P <

BUT
no drivers! the only thing that works is the cdrom which i had found on a site online, how to find them..

but no mwave sound, modem,or sis video.
i think they are on the BLUE disk, but how can i use? there is a few mwave DIRS but cant get them to extract or anything...even if i copy them to a dir on my c:,and try the EXE looking files..

So what can i do? i like this pc with super fast win95b! 66mb win95 Dir!

how can i find the drivers! i know mwave is strange and can be annoying, but all ibm couldve done is give me a few floppy disks with them on!

at the ibm website it doesnt seem to be quite what i want..il found out the exact model number etc tonite.-because i cant just find out what sort of mwave sound device i have cos its not in the hardware things control panel..would it help to have a look at the card itself./?

all i need it for is basic old games, slow net surfing and such

i prefer it over my 1.6ghz

im gona format that pc too now lol! <dualboot xp/ 95 hah>

well thanks! long post but i had to explain all

:)

167345 2003-08-14 18:04:00 ITS OKAY

i used a password i saw on a website to copy some files of the recovery cd..

went online, mucked around with getn the drivers onto floppy<strange exe file>
then eventualy after much mucking around>cos one of my floppys stuffed, and windows wouldnt let me resume adding drivers anymore<kept sayn to go to drivers tab,and update',so i just formated all over again :P

soo its all over, just got to somehow get Video drivers so its no 16colour 640x480
:)

the horror of the IBM is over..mmm fast pc!
3second shutdowns 25second start ups...cant wait to format the 1.6ghz :-D
-go the luddites with win95 on 133mhz-
