| 167245 | 2003-08-13 00:08:00 | I seem to spend more time fixing, patching, looking for drivers, activating & general messing about with XP than doing any work with it. I work with ME, never needs patching, compatable with everything, fast, & reliable. If ME does crash, it is simple to get running again. XP on the other hand, crashes completely & needs reinstalling. The only redeeming feature of XP is that it is exellent at multi-tasking, but so was NT. I saw a copy of Windows 95 with USB support at a flea market. Maybe thats the way to go. Compact & simple :) |

| 167250 | 2003-08-13 01:48:00 | I still have PC's here running Win95, and they run fine. Microsoft wants you to run the latest and the greatest but its a free country... you don't have to. Just be aware of any security issues re the internet and stick with ME; if you want to of course. | Dolby Digital (160) | ||
| 167251 | 2003-08-13 02:55:00 | i have an ibm 133mhz with win95.it does everything my pc company 1.6ghz does ,faster 30sec start ups,5sec shut downs, thanks to sp1 i spend most my time waiting for it to start up, slow reaction times, slow explorer opening,as if i have no ram il keep my ibm aptiva for now i dont trust ME though. as for me,il take any older OS thats been patched, rather than a new raw buggy xp etc.. but xp came with this 1.6 .. Can u still get security fixes for win95?i heard they ended support recently. :^) |

| 167254 | 2003-08-13 03:21:00 | well,i wouldn't go from my 2200+ back to my 1700+ or back to my duron 1300,or my duron 1000,or my athlon 700,or my p3 450..... with each and every upgrade there has been a noticble speed increase, ive thrown and and given away for more sub 300mhz computers then i care to remember. |
