167148 2003-08-12 10:29:00 I am unable to see details of some contacts in my outlook contact folder.

Yet when I click on the "to" field in setting up an e-mail I am able to see the contacts details are still held in the system it's just that when i then go to the contacts folder I cannot see the details for that contact, yet I know they are in the system somewhere....

I had recently set up a distribution list and the contacts for whom I can no longer see the details are on that distribution list and I can view their details when I go about it that way.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Chris.

167151 2003-08-12 21:12:00 If nobody has replied to this by tonight I'll try to explain what's happened and how to fix it. I can't do it until I get home from work (as it requires me looking through my Outlook a fair bit and is quite involved and I should be working :D)

He just means he's "bumping" the message to the top of the list, as every time a new post is made it goes to the top of the main page. If nobody responds, it means the thread drops further and further down until perhaps nobody will see it.

167153 2003-08-12 21:33:00 Can you see the contacts in your Address Book? I use Outlook Express not Outlook but I can open the Address Book separately and see my contacts in there. Just a thought. Fire-and-Ice (3910)
167154 2003-08-12 22:33:00 Outlook is considerably different to Express - it's got a quite considerable Contacts manager facility Greg S (201)
167155 2003-08-13 11:13:00 Have you ever in the past tried importing contacts from another version or tried opening another PST or whatever and accessing the contacts from there? This could be part of the cause...
