| 167619 | 2003-08-14 03:55:00 | Howdy folks, I have Excel version 4 and MS works database 2000 on my computer. I want to change some of my wdb files to Excel because not many people have works and cant open my files. Every thing cut,copies and pastes over to the excel file except the date column, it just turns into a bunch of numbers. For instance the date 26 April 2002 turns into 37372. I did notice when you type in the date on works it auto corrects the spelling and adds the year automatically. Is there anything I can do? Thanks for any help you may give. tedheath |

| 167620 | 2003-08-14 04:00:00 | Yup, format the destination cells as date format. Format|Cells|Number tab choose Date. btw, numbers is how Excel works out dates. See "How Microsoft Excel stores dates and times" under Excel Help. hth |
