| 168057 | 2003-08-15 21:31:00 | My wife & I Have been endulging in the joy's of versing each other at age of mithology on our two pc lan for about a month. but about two nights ago we went to verse eachother but it ame up with "Ip address has changed restart age of mythology" & I noticed that the ip address on my pc was 0.0.0.0. well at least all zero's Why did it change? |

| 168058 | 2003-08-15 23:13:00 | Hi Ron, The most likely explaination is that your network is set up without fixed IP addresses. If it is assigning IP addresses by DHCP, the lease most likely expired and if the PC that assigns those addresses was down it wouldn't be able to obtain a new one. Often on small networks the existing IP lease is just extended when it comes time to renew, but this requires the DHCP server to be up. One fix would be to move to fixed IP's :) HTH |
