| 167891 | 2003-08-14 22:32:00 | When applying the patch from Microsoft for the blaster worm, I get a message which says "Setup could not verify the integrity of the file 'Update.inf'. Make sure the Cryptographic service is running on this computer". The patch then won't load, leaving me exposed to further worm infections. I don't know what to do from here. Have tried loading the patch in safe mode but I get the same message. I'm running XP home. If anyone has any ideas as to what I need to do I'd be very grateful. Thanks Ben |

| 167892 | 2003-08-14 23:07:00 | Hi. I don't have xp but, are you logged on as administrator? Anotther option is to search the MS knowledge base using either, Update.inf, Cryptographic, or encryption services, as key words. MS Knowledge Base (support.microsoft.com) Cheers Murray P |
