168129 2003-08-16 04:21:00 Hello My Computer Friends,
I have Windows Me Installed and notice that some versions of win me have 'word' included. Mine has not. Is it possible to download 'word' from the net now?
The other questions is that the programme included with 'win me' called 'paint' is extremely slow, not that i use it a great deal. I received a book from the local library and in it has some things to do using the 'paint' programme. I thought i would have a go It was here i discovered the faults no word and slow paint. lol
Every things else is just fine. Thank you for you help in the recent days
regards

168130 2003-08-16 04:29:00 You will have WordPad included with WinME on your system. It is found under Start | Programs | Accessories. You have to buy an Office package, System Works or just the program Word, to get Microsoft Word (it is not free).

With the slow Paint program, what are the specifications of your computer eg. Pentium 2 400 MHz and 64 MB RAM? What are you trying to do with Paint that is taking its time?

168131 2003-08-16 04:53:00 It's the new spectator sport: slow Windows Paint. It replaces watching yacht races on TV, watching flies walk up the wall and watching paint dry. :D

Couldn't resist that, sorry. (No I'm not ]:))

As Jen hints, you might not have enough memory to run Paint as well as any other programmes which might be infesting the memory.

While i am here can you tell me why I get a'warning while windows was synchronizing your data? It does not appear to cause any problems I just close it and "move on"
