How do I get the folder view settings (List, icons, details etc) to stick in XP Home? I've selected every setting I can find to make them all the same, save the settings etc, but they always revert to the large icons!
Any ideas? |

Open My Documents (for example). Go to View button on your toolbar and select your display from there. Then go to Tools | Folder Options | View tab | and use the "Apply to All Folders" button. Apply button and then OK. |

Archibald's method is the one I use also. Did you ensure that only one instance of Windows Explorer was open when trying his method? You may need to close Windows Explorer immediately afterwards as well. |
