168514 2003-08-19 00:15:00 Recently I upgraded from ME to XP.(which I hate)
How can I format my computer so I can reload ME, as I'm now in NTFS & not Fat32.
Fdisk doesnt work.
Any Help would be appreciated.

168516 2003-08-19 00:29:00 98SE is better than ME , XP sucks on slower PCs needs too much HDD space ram etc and and is always trying to ring home etc kiwibeat (304)

In what way? And don't just say "it's more stable" - give specifics :)

168518 2003-08-19 01:02:00 I would say 98 SE is better because you have the option of booting into true dos mode: on ME you can only boot into the GUI but its still based on dos which is pretty stupid I reckon.

And ME has the 'personalised menu' thing which i don't like.

And 98 SE is probably more common.

And because 98 SE is older it probably uses less mem. space (guess there).

Cheers

168521 2003-08-21 14:34:00 Windows ME system roll back system is unreliable and resource hungry its extremely buggy if you install too many programs onto it.
Was a total disaster of a O/S that has extra bits tacked onto it as a marketing ploy .
XP Pro beats it hands down and I am not that fond of XP except on a new PC with all the latest hardware big HDD lots of ram and a fast CPU etc.
