| 168514 | 2003-08-19 00:15:00 | Recently I upgraded from ME to XP.(which I hate) How can I format my computer so I can reload ME, as I'm now in NTFS & not Fat32. Fdisk doesnt work. Any Help would be appreciated. Sunvista (Dumb Kiwi in Aussie) |

| 168518 | 2003-08-19 01:02:00 | I would say 98 SE is better because you have the option of booting into true dos mode: on ME you can only boot into the GUI but its still based on dos which is pretty stupid I reckon. And ME has the 'personalised menu' thing which i don't like. And 98 SE is probably more common. And because 98 SE is older it probably uses less mem. space (guess there). Cheers |

| 168521 | 2003-08-21 14:34:00 | Windows ME system roll back system is unreliable and resource hungry its extremely buggy if you install too many programs onto it. Was a total disaster of a O/S that has extra bits tacked onto it as a marketing ploy . XP Pro beats it hands down and I am not that fond of XP except on a new PC with all the latest hardware big HDD lots of ram and a fast CPU etc. |
