168776 2003-08-20 03:24:00 Create a Ghost boot disk
Connect a 2nd HDD to your MB
Start your PC with that boot disk
Once started and inside Ghost
Choose
Local -> Partition -> To Image
Choose appropriate partition and destination (verify what u have chosen as choosing the wrong thing could lead to data lost)

and Proceed :)

Thanks for all the replys, I will install a removable hard drive caddy tomorrow & Ghost my C:\ onto a spare Hard drive I have.

Question: Will ghost 2002 Boot disk see my NTFS C:\ partition ? & will I need to use NTFS or FAT32 on the destination HDD or does it not matter?

Cheers Steve

Yes Ghost will 'see' your NTFS partition.

To save any future trouble format the 2nd harddrive as FAT32

This months APC Australian Personal Computer Magazine has quite a bit on trouble shooting items in it. Including Drive Image 5.0 and a few other useful programs.

Just thought you might be interested is all :)

168782 2003-08-24 11:55:00 Thanks for all the ideas & tips,After Re-activating XP I successfully ghosted an image to a spare HDD before installing service pack & programs.
My next mission is to create an image with service pack & programs installed.

Cheers Steve
