169122 2003-08-21 04:06:00 Hi everyone,
I have a old printer, Panasonic KX-PS600. It is working well with win98. However, when i try to connect it to winXP, i can not find any driver for it. I try to google everywhere, still got nothing. There are someone said, it is not support XP at all. Do you guys have any idea about it? I really need help. Or, could i find some emulator to make a virtual win98?
Thanks!!!!

169123 2003-08-21 04:21:00 You are right, Panasonic does not provide XP drivers for this product - KX-PS6000 drivers (panasonic.co.jp). A search of driverguide.com does not show any either (hacked versions).

You will probably need to buy a new, or get a recent 2nd hand printer that does work with XP.

169124 2003-08-21 04:36:00 Your best bet is to look for Win2K drivers for that model. A model with a similar number is not likely to work. So try and get the WIn2k driver for it. vk_dre (195)

But, as there are no NT-based drivers at all (see previous link), it looks like zkeasy is out of luck.

169126 2003-08-21 04:58:00 I try to install all the samilar model, all not working. And there are no Win2K driver at all. I reinstall my system to WIn98, it is working well again. I think i have 2 choice, install a dual system machine, or find some software to emulate Win98. Do you konw any that kind of software? I find on, named "Boches", they said it could emulate win98/95. However, it is too professional, i even don't know how to let it run. So, i hope you guys could suggest me some idiot software.
I really need help, and i don't want to throw that printer away as well. I even have a new Toner Cartridage of that.
Thanks!!!!!

169127 2003-08-21 05:11:00 Looks like dual system is the only way. However, if you have a spare PC lying around then you could install 98 on that and share that printer thru the network :)

169128 2003-08-21 11:10:00 These printers are HP Laserjet IIP compatible - so in XP - Add Printer, look for HP & Laserjet IIP driver - install & do a test print, works everytime. xtraka (1984)
