| 168961 | 2003-08-20 07:26:00 | i recently bought a GeForce 4 TI4200 and it works very good, apart from the fact that the font and some of the 2D items in a game (freespace2) to be exact, dont look very good. this fixes itself after i choose "enable texture sharpening" on the nVIDIA display properties menu. this however doesnt work now that ive upgraded the driver. i dont know if its the brand, or what, but if i leave the texture option on, then the Battlefield1942 font gets totally blurred. | 168962 | 2003-08-20 12:04:00 | Not sure if I can help, but, whats the brand, what drivers did you install, the nVidia det ones or those specific to your card?. You could try the other way round. what sort of display to you have, LCD, CRT and what resolution? Cheers Murray P |

| 168965 | 2003-08-21 06:58:00 | Just to add, there are discussions and patches for blurred fonts. for particular games/apps, on some of the gaming sites but, I haven't seen one specific to your game and card, although it seems to happen more with nVidia cards than others. Have you done a search of the game manufacturers/distributers site for tweaks or patches? Cheers Murray P |

| 168966 | 2003-08-21 09:20:00 | The Brand Is Eagle, the Drivers were the latest ones from nVidia - 45.23 windows 2000 and XP, the driver that came with the card is very old and doesnt work too good on any game, my display is CRT and resoloution is 1024x768, the game (fs2 is run in 640x480) and battlefield (800x600) and prince of persia 3D being the same as desktop. the eagle website is in chinese and is utterly useless - the english part just has the card specs. but yeah, ill look out for the tweaks. thanks. | agent_24 (4330) | ||
| 168967 | 2003-08-21 09:23:00 | oh yes, and just to add, the font in fs2 is not blurred, just kind or corrupted or scrambled, as is the 2D interface, although the main game is 3D. its readable - just annoying. also the scrambling goes away when i turn antialiasing on, but leaves a sort of shadow behind the font, looking like a whole lot of "I's". | agent_24 (4330) | ||
