| 169193 | 2006-07-22 03:42:00 | This is an old thread and an old review. Still, I like ZA. I use version 4 Pro. Customers have been given the new one, free. Its extremely easy for users who aren't experienced to use, and its good, so thats why I recommend it for them. But I prefer the Pro version for me as there is just a bit more control. Never seen the need to upgrade mine.... |

| 169194 | 2006-07-22 03:47:00 | ZoneAlarm may not be as good as what you expect if it is the free edition. The paid edition, ZoneAlarm Pro is one of the top software firewall. The lastest Comsumer mag has a report on firewalls. In relation to the free firewalls, Zonealarm came ahead of Kerio. Infact Zonealarm was tops even against Nortons and the like. The report basically said that Zonealarm had good protection against in/out ports while Kerio seemed to lack out port control in comparison to Zonealarm. Would be interested to know users experience with both Zonealarm and Kerio and why you would consider one better over the other. Cheers |
