| 168891 | 2003-08-20 05:50:00 | I have Power Point 2000, which plays animations. My friends only have earier versions of Power Point ( ie 97) which does not show animations. I know you can down load a viewer to watch Power Point productions, but is there a 2000 viewer that lets people who have earlier versions or no Power Point watch production made on 2000 which lets you add in animations? | susievb (4439) | ||

Not sure what the significance is but on an alternative site to MS, www.sba.gov list PowerPoint 97 and PowerPoint 97(2000 release for PowerPoint 2000 users)! Maybe the origional PP 97 is redundant but still left on site?? Cheers,Kiwitas,;-) |

| 168895 | 2003-08-21 00:27:00 | The site that Kiwitas refers to lists version 1 and version 2 of the Powerpoint viewer. Version 2 (2000/2002) is that same that is currently on the Microsoft Download Site: PowerPoint Viewer 97 for PowerPoint 97, 2000, and 2002 Users (www.microsoft.com). Do your friends have version 1 perhaps? But it still does not support all features: Some PowerPoint 2000 and 2002 features are not supported by the viewer: * Picture bullets * Automatic numbering * Animated GIF pictures * Microsoft Visual Basic® for Applications (VBA) controls * ActiveX® controls are not supported by the viewer |
