2003-08-22 07:24:00 Hi,I wonder if there is a dialer application out there I can install.I want to be able to start my computer and walk away while it loads xp home ed then dial up my service provider automatically,so when I return from making my cup of tea its all warmed up and ready to roll.Likely there are several attached to other progs that I may or may not have.Any thoughts or clues would be much appreciated regards Dave. moamanz (1857)
2003-08-22 07:43:00 Just thinking aloud here, but you could try putting a shortcut to your web browser or email client in the Startup folder of your Start Menu and have it connect to the internet once it has loaded. tommy (2826)

2003-08-26 03:41:00 So what about when you want to use the computer and NOT connect? Or if someone is on the phone when you turn on your computer?

2003-08-26 06:22:00 What if you put a shortcut to your internet connection into the Startup folder? somebody (208)
2003-08-26 07:21:00 Then I would call in the GHOST BUSTERS,or the POLICE cos Im sadly solo.Or just turn it off I suppose. It does redial if the connection drops off.It works for me ok for the time being but thanks for your concern. moamanz (1857)
2003-08-26 11:19:00 Yeah tried that,it works as well.So loads of choices.Glad I asked, never knew how to add things like that to start up before.Cheers . moamanz (1857)
