169498 2003-08-22 05:11:00 Hi Team

To wind up the suspected partition/found stuffed memory instead saga, I took the faulty module into my local Dick Smiths shop without my original receipt as I hadn't had time to look for it this morning.

They replaced the faulty module without question, simply acknowledging that DSE on the label was proof that they sold it, and the five years warranty must still have years to run.

I must say that this experience is in keeping with all previous warranty issues I have had with DSE and they deserve credit for their staff training (on non-technical matters at least) and customer service attitude.

BTW, DSE memory is branded "Legend" on the packaging.

Cheers

169499 2003-08-22 06:15:00 That is good news Billy, it is nice to hear positive comments about service :)

Have you tried the new stick in the PC yet?

169501 2003-08-22 07:37:00 And there ain't anything wrong with Legend either, usually ;), it's nice to hear about the happy endings.

Cheers Murray P

BTW, did you ever sort out the CD writer issues, packet writing or some such, because I've sorted my Samsung 240b with an upgrade to of Nero and InCd (oem). Gotta go, No 1W is ready and waiting to go out, not to be disobeyed.

169503 2003-08-22 08:49:00 Also pat on the back for DSE. My Canon printer bought from them, did not want to turn on. Took back - Canon refused to look at it because it had a Calidad Black ink tank in it - pointed out to DSE that I bought it from them & they promptly sent it to someone else who fixed it. Came back with new Print head, Colour & Black carts.
Good service.
Bye

169505 2003-08-22 09:47:00 New module is in and turning over nicely at the full 256MB per week or month or whatever thanks Jen.

As for WFTWE Sis, it's posted now, though it is a bit tame this week :(

I didn't have much time for it I'm afraid.

Cheers

169506 2003-08-22 12:46:00 Me too,
Gave my brother a list of gear including a router to get for his setup & the darned router was faulty.
In his excitement to help me set it all up he was unpacking the gear & chucking all the packaging (including receipts) into the fire.
He took the router back (along with all the other cables etc. they assured him he would need, Good salesmen those fellas) & although they put up a bit of an arguement that I had configured it wrong & it wasn't broken at all, they replaced it & took back all the extaneous stuff with no receipt or packaging.
They rang a couple of days later to apologise, they had the router tested & sure enough it was faulty.
Not bad service at all.
