| 169401 | 2003-08-22 00:17:00 | When I run scandisk I keep getting error messages saying that scandisc is having to restart cos another program is using the disc. Using Ctrl/Alt/Del I have stopped everything except Explorer, I have no screensaver or desktop background, disabled NAV, turned off the external ADSL RouterModem. What else could be running to cause this? Win ME, Celeron 600, 10 GIG HD 75% full. Thanks |

Otherwise, try downloading an application called WinTasks Lite, Its a free 30 day trial, and may show up more things running than you'd believe are there! I believe there's also a FAQ on the topic, if you click on the FAQ's link in the top-right hand corner of your screen :-) Cheers Chill. |
