169343 2003-08-21 13:03:00 As you probably know, I've kinda killed Windows, and cant get back into it for now.

I've got the Windows partition mounted, but I basically just want my Favorites in Mozilla.. How would I go about this, seeing as I cannot boot Doze?

Should I try running the Windows Mozilla under WINE?

Cheers

169344 2003-08-21 14:30:00 I'm assuming that you've got a Mozilla installation of some sort on the on the Windows partition. Not being all that familiar with Mozilla under Linux but I assume it will still just use the bookmarks.html file. In which case you can just copy that over to nix. -=JM=- (16)
169345 2003-08-21 22:13:00 Nope, No Mozilla in the Doze partition, only on my Linux setup.

All I have is the .URL files in my Fav's folder in IE sadly, nothing more :-(

169346 2003-08-22 02:13:00 Do you know where Linux stores Mozilla favourites?

Have a look in your home directory in .mozilla, in fact bookmark a page in mozilla and try and find where it is.

Then all you possibly need to do is copy the favourites directory into the directory of mozilla... unless it needs to be converted then I'd research google on that.

169347 2003-08-22 03:07:00 I checked in .Mozilla and got this:
[josiah@p933mhz josiah]$ cd .mozilla/
[josiah@p933mhz .mozilla]$ ls
appreg default pluginreg.dat
[josiah@p933mhz .mozilla]$ cd default/
[josiah@p933mhz default]$ ls
mbwld4pf.slt
[josiah@p933mhz default]$

Anyways, I've had a brainwave.. I'll download Mozilla at a PC at the Cafe.. Send the Fav's there, and convert them like that!

Many thanks anyways ;-)
BTW - Importing in Mozilla, it looks for a .html file containing the lot, IE saves each as an individual .url file!

169348 2003-08-22 03:15:00 The way mozilla imports them in windows is a bit funny, its some kind of link to the favs directory.

The kde bookmark manager has a good set of import/export filters so you could import them to konquerer then export to moz.

Many thanks bmason, and to all those who offered suggestions :-)
