169308 2003-08-21 11:46:00 When I watch a DVD movie from a video shop on my computer the picture is very dark, even with the brightness control on the monitor right up. Whenever the computer is used for anything else it's fine. Any suggestions on what I can adjust to fix this.

Celeron 600, 255MB RAM, Liteon DVD drive, Win ME, onboard video & sound.

Display Properties -> Settings Tab -> Advanced -> GeforceXX tab -> Inthe windows that pops out -> overlay controls -> increase brightness.

Otherwise if you don't have a nvidia chipset, get this program called Powerstrip (www.entechtaiwan.com) and increase the gamma when watching the dvd.
