| 169803 | 2003-08-23 05:29:00 | My problem is that the sound volume slider is set to zero and is in unavailable mode setting and also shows speaker on task bar is enabled but it does not appear the there. I had tried adding and removing the volume control in the windows set-up multimedia functions. This has not resolved the problem there seems to be no conflict with the sound card as far as I can tell. I have checked the msconfig to see if the box is checked for the system tray also. This problem occurred when after I recently reinstalled window ME after other unrelated problems that I was having with the internet explorer program. Also I checked the card itself and connections of the speakers to make sure that this was not the problem. The rest of the computer is running fine, internet, graphics and printer etc just the problem with the volume being set to mute. Any suggestions on how to resolve this problem would be appreciated. Hopefully the solution will be a easy one, one can only hope!!! Regards, Terry. |
