169658 2003-08-22 18:01:00 I plan on buying an fx5600 card because the price and performace between a 9600PRO card seem minimal to me. The fps differance between the cards is less than 10.

Is this a good idea or not?

169659 2003-08-22 23:08:00 I dont know about that, but an fx 5600 seems a good choice.

Tomshardware recomends an MSI FX5600-VTDR128, which has good performance, and is amazingly quiet.

169660 2003-08-23 20:21:00 Above 60fps, the human eye will really strain to notice a difference, but if you want to show of to your friends, then that's fine. I got fed up of my 20fps card and went and spent $350 for a big one, yes there is a difference there.
While playing games, I was at 60fps, I thought it was amazing, then did some tweaking, got it up to 100fps and I noticed absolutely no difference...

169661 2003-08-23 21:53:00 I recently bought a new system, which included a Leadtek Winfast A310 TD MyVIVO.

Am happy with it. Got all the bits and pieces with it. Have a look here
