169609 2003-08-22 09:09:00 I'm fixing a friends computer and I fixed everything else but one thing leads to another and bam, the CD drive stops working. It a 233MHz p-MMX with 32MB Ram the CDROM is a Daimond data 24x.

BIOS is ROM PCI/ISA BIOS (P5tx-B19) Award Software

In BIOS
All drives are set to Auto except Primary Master(HDD).

PNP/PCI
PCI IDE IRG Map To: PCI-AUTO
Primary IDE INT#: A
Secondary IDE INT#: C
PNP OS Installed: No
Resources Controlled by: Auto
Reset Configuration Data: Disabled

On boot it says in the Diag screen CDROM- Model 4 so I changed this to:
IDE Secondary Master: Model 4

The CDROM is master on IDE #2 and was set to D when it worked.

Now I have bigger problems. Whenever the CD drive is plugged in to IDE the screen says, no signal.

Also the PCI bridge and HDD controller have problems.

Is this a faulty Mobo. My tutor says that this i likely.

Any ideas?
Cheers
