169613 2003-08-22 08:05:00 Hello, i have a 800MHz Duron system, i was wondering if anything could go wrong with upgrading to a 1300MHz duron, I don't no what speed processor my MB can handle and wont to no if it can harm my MB or fry the CPU if upgraded.

a lot depends on the age of the bios and make of mother board

169619 2003-08-26 06:24:00 not likly to blow up the motherboard but the cpu may not like having an incorrect voltage fed to it.

however if you could post what motherboard you have you can tell for sure if it will work or not.
