| 169787 | 2003-08-23 11:44:00 | Are the games DOS games that run in Windows, then u may have to surf the net for programs that can emulate the DOS environment for these games. Altho XP has the Virtual DOS kernal, i "dont" know if it will work properly. Sorry bout that. | vk_dre (195) | ||
| 169788 | 2003-08-23 13:09:00 | Well I was able to use Compatibility mode in Win XP Pro to get an MSDos program working long before SP1 came out. I have applied SP1 to Win XP Pro and the progran keeps running. It did before SP1. In case you want to know it was Termail ( for Fidonet ) I have run this under MSDOS 5.0, MSDOS 6.22, Win 3.11, Win95, Win98, Win98SE, WinME, and WinXP. Sorry to have to say this but you DON'T need SP1 for this feature!!! |

| 169790 | 2003-08-24 02:09:00 | Sometimes I've found with old games like Wing Commander, its better to start them up in a cmd prompt. Worked for me and stopped the thing crashing during game :) Later on you can put the command into a small batch file to make the program execute faster. | PoWa (203) | ||
