| 169934 | 2003-08-23 10:50:00 | Hi All, I have a machine with a DVD-Rom drive and running on Win XP Pro.... When I want to play DVDs, Windows does not recognise that I have inserted a disc in.... To play DVDs I have to first insert the disc and restart the pc, then (and only then) will Windows recognise the disc.... How can I run DVDs and have Windows recognise it like any other disc I put in without having to restart everytime? Cheers!!! :) |

As for autoplay, have you tried TweakUi to make sure its turned on in there. Also right click on the cd-drive in MyComputer again. Select AutoPlay and sort out the settings in there. Cheers |
