If I map a drive from a Win98 PC to my Win XP machine, I see an unexpected behaviour. The mapping occurs OK, but the drive letter and share name don't appear in the XP explorer view, just a network drive icon with the + sign. If I click the + I see the tree, and the drive info also appears in my network places list. It takes some time (undetermined but many minutes) for the details to appear. Do I have a service that should be auto that is set to manual, or something?
