| 170107 | 2003-08-24 05:28:00 | I think my problem may be related to iMesh because I had no troubles until I uninstalled it. I installed iMesh on Saturday, and today decided it was rubbish and uninstalled it. Now, when I try to connect to the internet my computer restarts and I get told a serious system error has occured. I have tried reinstalling iMesh, but nothing changes. I am using Windows XP Professional. What's causing this, and how can it be fixed? Please help me, i'm desperate. |

| 170108 | 2003-08-24 05:31:00 | Does the connection complete first? Or does it restart before the connection is completed. If it is rebooting after a connection is established chances are it is the blaster worm causing the problem. Before hand, something in your communications software is probably corrupted, IMesh has a nasty habit of installing a host of associated junk such as New.Net domains, SaveNow, and so on. If you can let us know a touch more about the problem I might have some more ideas. Also go through your Add/Remove programs and remove any junk you don't recognise, notably the ones mentioned above. |

| 170111 | 2003-08-24 07:20:00 | Thanks for the replies It happens before the connection is established. I ran Ad-Aware and deleted about 22 "New.Net" items, and from Add/Remove I got rid of "Shop at Home Downloader Agent", but it still won't connect. Any more suggestions? |

| 170112 | 2003-08-24 07:37:00 | I would suggest doing a system restore back to before you installed iMesh and see if that helps. Your data will be unaffected but anything else installed since will be removed also. | tommy (2826) | ||

| 170115 | 2003-08-24 20:37:00 | Also, I don't think it's the blaster worm because I've already had that, and dealt with it. Someone I know reckons that by getting rid of some of the spyware that comes with iMesh I may have inadvertantly deleted some important dll...is this possible? |
