170509 2003-08-25 21:32:00 A read of the article in the New Zealand Herald about the newly announced ADSL plans for Fonterra's dairying farmers puts the whole thing into perspective.

It looks like we will have to wait for the broadband competition to mature a bit more before we can expect better deals for the rest of us.

Personally, I'd love to have twice the speed at half the price for my jetstart connection, but I'm happy for those in the sticks who have had to wait so long to get what they so badly need and deserve.

I was reading, not so long ago, that a Ch ch company had developed a layered system for data that eliminated the last mile limitations, bring it on.
