2003-08-25 07:05:00 | Hi I'm specifically looking for a video card temperature monitoring program, but one that does CPU and MB as well would be cool. I'm trying to overclock my video card (Asus Geforce 4 mx440 8xAGP 64mb (www.asus.com)), and I'm using the program 'Asus Smart Doctor 2' which came with the card to do it. This program was supposed to monitor temperatures as well, but that feature wouldn't install because apparently the card didn't support it. I've tried MotherBoard Monitor 5, and that didn't work with my mb (not supported), my motherboard is a Chaintech CT-7AIA5 (www.chaintech.com.tw). I know I can monitor the mb/cpu temps in the bios, but thats a pain. I want to monitor them from windows, for convenience and so I can stress the cpu/vid card out a bit and monitor it at the same time. thanks! Running XP Pro, 1.1Ath cpu, 384ram

2003-08-25 08:54:00 | Dammit!! no! I overclocked my vid card to 250mhz (normal was 220mhz), and now I can't change it back! Well I can, but its somehow changed the new default to 250Mhz, so whenever I reboot the computer it changes to 250mhz. 250mhz is actually unstable, I tried playing a few games of CStrike with it, and it just freezes the computer. I can't make it default back to 220mhz! Can anyone help me? URGENT! :)

2003-08-25 11:11:00 | if the card dosn't have the temp sensors then no program is going to give you the temps. mbm should be able to read it. what ver are you useing?

2003-08-25 11:17:00 | Just get a thermometer that plugs onto your motherboard (has to be one of the small ones), then put it between your GPU and its fan. Most hardware monitoring utilitys can use them. | cold_fu5ion (3438) | |
2003-08-25 11:32:00 | I have MBM 5.3.3.0. Any ideas on how to get my Video Cards clock to default back to 220Mhz at startup?? It keeps going to 250, which freezes my machine. I've uninstalled the software as well :-\\

No need to have software running to do the job. Or maybe uninstall the nvidia driver, remove that nvidia global entry from the reg, remove the card thru device manager, reboot, install a driver, see if the correct speed is detected |
