| 170311 | 2003-08-26 03:02:00 | There is inside some of the Minoltas a switch marked "Drum heater" or soemthing like that, which will dry out the essential bits of the machine. But usually the sign that you need to use that is that the copies have a dark smudge covering all of the copy. Sometimes just leaving the machine on for a day or two in a warm dry place does just as well. They are electrostatic copiers, so they don't like the damp, apart from the mechanicals which like well-behaved dry, non-curling paper. Have you ever thought that you were born a few centuries too late? Machines don't seem to like you. :D |

| 170312 | 2003-08-26 05:56:00 | hmmm, is it me who doesnt like machines or them not like me? and yes at moment feel like im from the ark, not knowing enough or knowing maybe just to much to be helpful....... :D will try these suggestions other wise i at a lose end as im not paying for 200 copys of something yet....... but it has been sitting in our frount office for 2-3 weeks now where the sun streams into it in early morning and it has a heater on for early evening too.... so i wouldnt think it gets majorly damp but im not 100% on that one i could be wrong.... will try again later thanxs all beetle |
