2013-06-15 04:38:00 | Hi all, So I was just casually using my computer, Just watching some YouTube videos when I got a blue screen. On restart the computer went through a strange process which said "Recovering orphaned files." It took around 5 minutes. When I got to my desktop I decided to turn off the "Launch on startup" feature on some of my programs as they were very annoying when I booted my computer and I had all of these messages popping into my face. The process of turning off these programs involved running "msconfig.exe" When I attempt to launch it I get an error message:"C:\Windows\system32\msconfig.exe The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail." I get that message when I attemp to open a lot off programs, most of which are pre-installed programs. I couldn't get a screen shot because my paint wouldn't start! Please help! Thanks!

2013-06-15 04:59:00 | Look in event viewer for a crash entry. Disable auto restart so you can see what it says next time. What does bluescreenview say?? Whats the stop error and the file/driver? It looks like that message can appear if you've installed the wrong version of the Visual C++ Redistributable Package (x86 or x64) for a program. Or a program has installed it (and it maybe the wrong version for the program / or another program) You may have to find out how to get the sxstrace.exe tool. It looks like it's in Win8. Dont know if it's on any other version of windows tho. As it says in this link (blogs.msdn.com)

2013-06-15 05:44:00 | When I start my computer from shut down I get the following error: Networkz.exe-Application error. The instruction at 0x00407 cf9 referenced memory at 0x02a27050. the memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate the program. | Nikit07 (16761) | |
2013-06-15 05:46:00 | Hey speedy! Bluescreenviewer says absolutely nothing. When I try to open event viewer I just get the error message: MMC has detected an error in a snap in-. It is recommended that you shut down and restart MMC.

2013-06-15 06:06:00 | Try downloading and install the following www.microsoft.com Dont worry that its the 2005 version, it fixes a lot of side by side errors, where as the newer versions dont. :2cents: | wainuitech (129) | |
2013-06-15 06:16:00 | I would find out where networkz.exe is for a start. And what it belongs to. Dont think its a windows file or program. If its in startup. Delete / disable its entry with ccleaner | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2013-06-15 06:44:00 | Orphaned files will be to do with CHKDSK which ran after the first crash. networkz.exe sounds like a virus, it may be what's causing the crashes.

2013-06-15 06:58:00 | Networkz.exe --- Are you sure thats spelt correctly ? There are a few similar, Network.exe is a trojan, Networx.exe is a internet monitor usage Application which is perfectly harmless.
