| 1345843 | 2013-06-15 02:07:00 | Hi all, I have to confess to not understanding internet speeds. I have been using Telecoms speed test and I think it may be dreadfully slow. I turned my thompson modem off and pulled the cable out off the phone jack. I waited a while and reconnected it all. My speed usually goes up but seems to slowly wind down lol. I have taken a screen grab of the speed test. Im using Windows 8 and the original Thompson modem from Telecom. I have a filter on the line as well. What is a good speed?:( | ollieogg (6593) | ||

| 1345846 | 2013-06-15 04:49:00 | Oh when I download it's about 1.5. Speedtest maybe different. Altho I dont rely on sites like that. It may also depend what server you select on speedtest on how fast the down/upload speed is. If its local, it'll probably be faster than overseas. Just tested on speedtest a sydney server 73 ping, 12.41 dl, 0.71 ul. A wellington server 13.30 57 ping, 0.72 ul |
