| 1320894 | 2012-12-31 21:31:00 | So watching Sky News this morning and first we were off to Sydney for the fireworks, then Melbourne, Asia and finally to the Sky Tower in Auckland. Not one other centre mentioned the number of arrest, although presumably with one and a half million people in Sydney to watch the fireworks they would have had quite a few. Over to New Zealand and we're treated to a report that there were few arrests this year, Police reported a quiet family atmosphere at the main beaches. Reporters here have nothing to report it seems, so we end up talking about a lack of crime at the beach. Anywhere else in the world a lack of crime might be a big news story, but personally I find it embarrassing that we have to tell an international audience that hardly anyone got arrested this year. |

Nelson used be an arrest leader, I can remember as a teenager people throwing beer bottles at the clock tower trying to stop it at midnight. Alas Nelson is now Gods waiting room. | prefect (6291) | ||

| 1320900 | 2013-01-01 18:46:00 | ..... do you think we should make people who get arrested on years day report to the police station every day for a fortnight? Personally I like keep away from activities where follow visitors like giving police extra work, sometime incident people get caught up. | Frank_sumbody (16923) | ||
