171037 2003-08-27 21:28:00 Whenever I play an .avi file in Winamp 2.91, it plays upside down for some reason, and I can't seem to put it the right way up. I have windows ME, if that helps. Maarten (2753)
171038 2003-08-27 23:31:00 Im guessing its a DivX encoded file, so have you got the latest version of DivX? Chilling_Silently (228)
171039 2003-08-28 01:04:00 No, I'll download it now... Maarten (2753)

I never knew that...does one really exist like that? neways how long have u had this problem? try getting the Monkey Pak build, it was used for encoding anime shows to avi and it incorporates all the old encoders/decoders.

171043 2003-08-28 16:49:00 it's not a special codec, its actually a playback filter called ffdshow.

I would caution against using codec packs such as nimo, if used incorrectly (which 95% of the time they are) they cause more harm than good, and almost always come bundled with older codec revisions. Only use the codecs you require as you need them. If you must use a codec pack, look at the NZ based Binky's Usual Suspects Codec Pack which can be found here:
binky.orcon.net.nz

Binky keeps it regularly updated, and he know's what he's doing.
