| 171063 | 2003-08-28 21:02:00 | Hi Elephant, Mailwasher has been bouncing my friends' e-mails automatically before I even see them. Also I have been having severe disconnect problems which I suspect is caused by Mailwasher, as it started about the time I installed mail washer. Also when I go to close it down it causes a "fatal exception". Since following Susan's advice I have not been disconnected (touch wood.) Thank you one and all for your interest. Tony S. |

| 171064 | 2003-08-28 22:21:00 | Hi Tony S I never had any probs with Mailwasher when I used it - I no longer need it as I changed my ISP and the spam flood has stopped. So I am afraid I cannot help you as I no longer have it on my computer. However, I wanted to ask if you have contacted the programme developer for support? He is a Kiwi, living here, (or he was when I was using the proggie last year), and he is very approachable. I think his name is Nick Bolton. As you seem to be stuck with no solutions from this forum, that would seem to be the best tack to take. You should be able to find his email address somewhere in the documentation or on their website. John |

Have you thought about looking thro the settings & changing them????? Or even adding your friends to the "safe" list????? or have you even thought that the mail server your friends are sending they mail from might be blacklisted?????? > Also I > have been having severe disconnect problems which I > suspect is caused by Mailwasher, as it started about > the time I installed mail washer. That will be caused by your ISP mail server trimming out, which some times happens to me I am running Mail washer on win ME & I have not had any problems. |
