| 171134 | 2003-08-28 05:42:00 | Hi all What software do they use in the PCWorld magazine to capture screen images and do those wonderful coloured boxes with arrows that show a magnified view of the captured image. I would like to do the same in my documents. Thanks |

Then it's just a matter of using Photoshop filters for drop shadows, and layers to arrange zoomed in views on top of the zomed out view of the screenshot behind. | Biggles (121) | ||
| 171136 | 2003-08-28 07:07:00 | I am betting that PC World would be using Photoshop to do their graphics but PaintShop Pro or maybe Photoshop Elements can do the same thing. I would say that the magnified image is an enlarged image of the original screenshot inserted into a pre-made shape. I have not used Photoshop Elements but I know PaintShop Pro can do this fairly easily. |

I started out in PaintShop Pro and it was good, went to Photoshop and things I wanted to do I kept switching back and forth from PaintShop, it's was becoming a Pain Shop till I figured out how I could do what I wanted in Photoshop. |

Photoshop is the King when it comes to graphics editing but be warned, it is not cheap whereas PaintShop Pro is much less expensive . As for it being a lot of work, most graphics editing is time consuming until you get the hang of it and know what you are doing . A bit like computers in general, really . :-) |
