171399 2003-08-30 10:36:00 The "normal" BIOS settings will have it check the floppy, the CD and then boot from the HDD.
That will cause the "noise".
Its quite normal, and while it can be altered in the BIOS there is no good reason (apart from stopping the noise) to do so.

171402 2003-08-30 21:22:00 (Yawn) For someone supposedly intelligent enough to run a motel and be a part(full?)time student you show a remarkable lack of initiative when it comes to your computer problems. You are not even making sense when you ask questions. For God’s sake put on some loud music before you turn your computer on, and then you won’t notice what sound it does or doesn’t make. cappuccino (1800)

171405 2003-08-31 01:23:00 im hearing impaired ok so if i hear it now and didnt before it must not have done it before. and loud music wont make much difference as i wont hear that well either.

people do have reasons other than what you first think they are asking for. and thanxs for telling me im dumb.

just what i needed to make my day.

some people do get hurt when you say things like that you know.

Yes I agree with stu140103. There are two words for people like Cappuccino:
Ignorant Ignoramouses. Pull your head in - or drink Tea!
