Where can I find the formula Hi John, Ummm, you might want to try to reword this a little, as I'm somewhat confused as to what you've just said - I've read it through 3 times now and I don't really follow what you're wanting... maybe I'm tired I dunno. Any chance you could explain yourself a little clearer please? :) Mike. |

Where can I find the formula This is where its confusing. So you mean you dont want to use the dialog box that pops up when you use goalseek, but use a formula instead. From my knowledge, Goal Seek isnt a formula per se but is a built in macro. Thats why a box comes up to ask you for the variables (which amount to seek, cell to change etc) rather than a normal formula. Macro's can be written that use this functionality however, but you will have to be very specific in what you want to achieve. This is quite an advanced Excel question (to me anyway) so you may have better luck posting on an Excel specific message board like Mr Excel (www.mrexcel.com) to get a wider range of answers. cheers Parry |
