| 172022 | 2003-08-31 11:34:00 | I have installed and then uninstalled a primax scanner in windows xp ( Icould not get drivers to work in xp), now on turning on the computer i get an error message that the computer cannot find the file flatbed.exe and I need to update the registry to stop this happening. However in tweak ui I can find no reference to this file so do not know how else to alter the registry safely. I look forward to any help on this issue. Yours Jim Dickin |

| 172023 | 2003-09-01 02:08:00 | You could try using a registry cleaner to clean the scraps out of the registry. See this thread (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) for a link to a good one. | Susan B (19) | ||

There are several ways of doing this, depending on your O/S and any software you may have. Using Win 98 SE, MS config has a tab marked restore which you can use if you have previously backed up your registry. Don't know how to do this in XP but I imagine it shouldn't be too difficult if you have used 98 before, you ought to be able to get your head around XP. |
