| 171903 | 2003-08-31 07:41:00 | Hi all, Just a few questions about installing a Dick Smith C-Media 5.1 XH7847 sound card. I am trying to install this on a MSI motherboard, but it will not install. I used the drivers off the installation CD first, have been to the C-Media website and downloaded the drivers from there, also downloaded the files from the Dick Smith site. I have read all the FAQ's from the relevant sites, but nothing seems to work. Also I have Realtec AC97 onboard sound which has been disabled. I am using Win XP Pro on a MSI 6390 M/B with 768 mb DDR 333 ram. I hope that is all you need. Intel Hunter |

| 171904 | 2003-08-31 12:46:00 | Take it back - get a refund. Buy a decent soundcard like the Soundblaster Audigy 2 for only $200 odd dollars. However I don't mind c-media, I can get pretty good sound out of my onbard one :) | PoWa (203) | ||
