171853 2003-08-31 02:19:00 In my favorites I have a heap of stuff that I look at now and then.
But some I visit quite frequintly. What I like to do with them is hunt down the icon to the according site in the temp internet files to save the icon to another folder. Then connect that to the site so that I don't loose it in the temporary files later.
So when I went to hunt down the NZ herald icon I could not find it ..well at least I did not have the patients to look through the intire folder so I tried again typing .ico Which got me a whole bunch of icons but not the NZ Herald.
Maybe it is another file format??

171855 2003-08-31 03:59:00 Hi Ron, I'm not sure what you are trying to achieve. Do you want to create links to the sites on your desktop or would a bookmarklet be of use to you.

171856 2003-08-31 04:29:00 Well when ye look at ye favorites.
When one first logs onto a site, the site might have it's own little icon that shows up both on the title bar & if added to favorites it also shows next to the title. but when the temp folder gets cleaned out, so does the icon.
So I guess what I'm saying is I like to stop my icons from dissapearing.
that much I can do. It's just some of the web Icons I cannot find.
Thanks Murray.
This is not important but I just like learning how to manipulate Windows
