Just over a week ago now I tried turning on my 8 year old windows 95 computer to find that it wouldnt work, not even a sound. It was working 2 hours before my sister was doing her homework and nothing strange was happening. The moniter works, the small LED goes green. Could somebody please help with this problem. |

Maybe the battery is flat? Has the computer ever had its battery replaced? |

Even a flat battery won't cause that. You get complaints on the screen.
I'd pick the power cable , unless the monitor is fed its power through the CPU box. |
