| 172378 | 2003-09-01 15:03:00 | i am running win 98 and are trying to use msn any verison of it above 4.6 ie 5.0 or 6.0 for instances. I am not on a LAN or do i use a firewall but when i try to run msn 6.0 it comes up with we are trying to connect you but can't because you appear to be using a firewall or on a LAN. it also trys to connect through the proxy but i don't use it. and when i try to change my proxy settings to put it on then take it off it still doesn't work. so does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this thanks |

| 172379 | 2003-09-01 21:24:00 | That problem occaisonally happens to me. What I do is just disconnect (from my ISP), and connect again and then MSN is working again. Weird, I know! But it seems to fix the problem whenever it happens. caffy |
