| 172156 | 2003-09-01 03:08:00 | I am looking around for a decent SD expandable MP3 player. Are there any pitfalls or compatibility issues with cards...? eg: Is SD better than other cards...? What is MMC....? If anyone has been through the same trials and tribulations, I would love to hear feedback on good / bad models. T I A |

| 172157 | 2003-09-01 04:01:00 | I have a cheap mp3 player that has 64 in built, and takes smart media, smart media is limited in size to only 128mb, but I am happy for only $140 sd and mmc are basically exactly the same thing, the only difference is that sd (Secure Digital) has a switch on the side of it that allows you to 'lock' the card from being 'accidently' deleted. the long and the short of it is that all cards have flaws. sony memory sticks cost about 10-50$ more per card in comparisson with other cards. so the choice is yours |
