172836 2003-09-03 19:10:00 My relatively new keyboard has gone silly.
If I hit the back slash key I get a #.
If I hit the at key I get ".
If I hit the hash key I get £ .
If I hit the ampersand key I get ¬
If I hit the double quot key I get @
How could this happen????????
At least the alphabet keys are all OK.
Jack.

172838 2003-09-03 21:29:00 It's not the keyboard's fault. It's Win XP's fault. JJJJJ (528)
172839 2003-09-03 21:44:00 Have a look under Keyboards in Control Panel and check the settings. You might need to reload your drivers. Murray P (44)
172840 2003-09-03 22:13:00 You have Windows set up incorrectly.

Change all settings under control panel - regional and language.
Make sure its English (New Zealand) and that under the "Languages" tab, that you have the keyboard set to US.

This is assuming XP

172842 2003-09-03 22:26:00 Thanks godfather.Spot on.
I changed to English to change the order the date is shown. Didn't realise the Poms had a different keyboard. I have now changed to NZ which gives me what I want.
Thanks again,
Jack
