172892 2003-09-04 01:12:00 Downloaded virus software which doesn't have a uninstall facility.

It's called eAnthology with Acceleraton Software along for the ride.

How do I get rid of it as it is taking up far too much at Boot-up.

Thanks again to all who reply.

172893 2003-09-04 01:43:00 Well to state the obvious I guess you've looked in Add/Remove programs?

Doesn't appear?

Then if you know what it's called go into your c: drive and find it and whamoo it.

And then run a 'find' from the start button pop up menu. Look for files with the names of the program. But be careful not to delete common files. Files that are used by other programs as well as the one you want to remove.

HTH. Give it a go and it's nice to hear back how it all went. :D mc

172895 2003-09-04 02:45:00 Thanks mark c, yep tried all those, even tells me it is part of Windoes.

CleanReg won't do it. It's a bit like Bonzi Buddy, that brute took some getting rid of too.

Thanks anyway.

172896 2003-09-04 03:33:00 I suppose I am asking the obvious: "have you uninstalled it as per the detailed instructions on the software suppliers website"?

Look here (www.eanthology.net port&ver=online&rfx=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fsearch%3Fsourcei d%3Dnavclient%26q%3DeAnthology#uninstall)

Normal uninstallation is done from within the program, not from outside.

From reading the website, and the hype, I conclude that you are a lot braver than I am to install such an invasive piece of software ...
