| 173718 | 2003-09-08 00:30:00 | if you have IE installed open it first, check that avg is not blocked by a firewall and if all esle fails go to avg homepage and download the updates manually. | tweak'e (174) | ||
| 173719 | 2003-09-08 00:32:00 | I've had this happen at times, try closing AVG and then try again. This will some times wake it up. Cheers. :<) |

| 173721 | 2003-09-08 01:22:00 | Hi rmcb, Try this; The free AVG only has 1 update server choice. Here's how to add more. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Grisoft\AVG6\ Open the url.ini file with a text editor. Here is the default... [SERVER_NAME] 1=free.grisoft.cz [SERVER_URL] 1=http://free.grisoft.cz/softw/60/fe Actual URL=1 Here is mine... [SERVER_NAME] 1=free.grisoft.cz 2=ftp.grisoft.com 3=www.grisoft.com [SERVER_URL] 1=http://free.grisoft.cz/softw/60/fe 2=ftp.grisoft.com/pub/softw/60/fe/ 3=http://www.grisoft.com/softw/60/fe/ Actual URL=3 The next time you cant get an update, you will have to do the same,as when you log-on to AVG,it reverts back to 1 server! Cheers,Kiwitas,;-) |
